Have you ever need to know the SAP SPRO IMG menu path for a specific Transaction Code (t-code)? By knowing the SPRO menu path of an SAP configuration activity, we can see the corresponding SAP help documentation. It can help us a lot.
Actually, you can search the SAP SPRO menu path of an activity if you know the description of the activity. On SAP SPRO IMG screen you can click the “find” button ( ) and type the description in the “search term” field.
After hitting “Enter”, there will a pop up screen that displays all the SPRO activities that contain the search term you’re looking for on its description. It will also display the areas (modules) in which the activities are in.
But, there are some limits doing this on SAP:
- You can’t find the SPRO menu path by t-code name (you can do it by description only).
- You can’t restrict the search results by areas or modules. On the above example (with “number range” as search term), SAP will show more than 600 search results form all areas/modules. You can’t, for example, restrict the search result for Materials Management area/module only.
To solve the above problems/limits, I have developed a new section of iERP.us site at http://iERP.us/sap-spro
At this section you can find all SAP SPRO IMG (SAP configuration) activities by their description or their Transaction Code name. You can restrict the search result by areas/modules.
You can also browse all the SAP SPRO IMG activities at the SAP SPRO menu tree page.
On the SAP SPRO IMG activity detail page, you can find the detail information about the activity such as the t-code name (FYI, more than 99.87% SAP SPRO IMG activities have a tcode although SAP doesn’t display many of them on the screen), the SPRO menu path, the module/area name, the table/view name that will be updated when you save the configuration activity (if any), etc.
Like the other sections of iERP.us (http://iERP.us/sap-tcodes and http://iERP.us/sap-tables), at http://iERP.us/sap-spro you can also collaborate by submitting any information or any related-link about a specific SAP SPRO IMG activity. By doing so, you can use it as a note to yourself (where you can find at anytime you need), and also you can help others who may need the information.
